Does anyone else have issues with default system templates?
I have defined a custom one by editing the default template, but it no longer appears to be available. There are only 3 options available and no of them use the "Default Space Content" from "System templates".
I just also noticed that the option to choose blueprints seems to be missing also?
Are blueprints and system templates about to get removed? The page templates are still available custom "System templates" and "Blueprints" appear to be unusable now.
@LAL See this article for information about this change: https://community.atlassian.com/forums/Confluence-articles/Introducing-the-new-space-creation-experience/ba-p/2791143
Thanks.
Have to say, I'm pretty disappointed about this change. Confluence really would benefit from having the ability to define new space contents rather than just be limited to generic unchangeable content.

Hello @LAL
System templates are also known as the blueprints. These templates are applied when you are creating the spaces from the beginning, depending on which purpose of the space that you have left. System templates were there when there was an old way of creating Confluence spaces.

Yes I know as I have previously used these and even edited the "Default space content" system template.
The issue is that while these still exist in the settings, they are not / cannot be used when creating a new space.
If theyre removed as part of old Confluence, thats fine. However when theyre visible, editable etc, this feels like a bug or something that was missed during the update.
Do you know why these are available in the settings but in reality cannot be used?

You cannot use those templates when you are creating a new space. The only templates that you use are your own custom templates that can only be applied to the pages themselves.

@Nikola Perisic What do you mean?
I'm talking about system templates, the templates that are (used to be) used when creating a new space.
I'm not talking about page templates. Refer to images on my original question.
What I'm talking about is system templates, specifically the Default Space Content. This was used previously when creating a new Confluence space. This however does not work anymore nor do any of the blueprints shown on the same page.
When you said "System templates were there when there was an old way of creating Confluence spaces." I now assume you agree with me when I speculated that there was "something that was missed during the update" as the system templates are still available but unusable.
