Suddenly no login possible to confluence

Hi,

we have a crazy problem with our Confluence.

Since yesterday morning we get only the message " Error at login - Try it again later" if we try to login with our names.

We use the Confluence 7.3.1 (yes, very old)

In the logs we can find this error message:

2024-01-15 15:21:11,105 ERROR [http-nio-8090-exec-5 url: /wiki/dologin.action] [crowd.manager.application.ApplicationServiceGeneric] authenticateUser Directory 'Crowd Server' is not functional during authentication of 'jannis.baer'. Skipped."

I do have no idea what the Crowd Server is :-(

Crow is an Atlassian product to maintain a user directory that can be used for multiple Atlassian products for using a single account in all the products.

It seems you are using this product, but that it's not functioning. Reach out to your IT department as this is an on-premise product and relay the issue you are experiencing to them.

They should be able to fix or reach the team who maintains your Atlassian products in your organisation
