Hello,
we as a company want to swith our standard subscription to annual in order to pay via invoice and not via Credit Card. Whenever we try it it shows us, that we are not able to select invoice as payment method. Can anybody explain why? Am I missing something?
Thanks for your help
Best regards
Jakob
Hello @jakob Furtner
you’re not missing anything. This isn’t a Confluence setting issue, it’s an Atlassian billing eligibility restriction.
Your screenshot clearly says:
“Pay later by invoice (within 14 days) not available for this order.”
That means your organization is currently not eligible for invoice / payment terms for this subscription change.
This usually happens for one of these reasons:
Invoice payment is only available for annual term plans and only for eligible customers. It’s not automatically enabled for everyone.
You may not be acting as the Billing Admin on the correct billing account.
The subscription may belong to a different site or organization.
Sometimes Atlassian restricts invoice options based on region, billing history, currency, or risk checks.
In some cases, invoice payments require going through a quote process instead of self-serve checkout.
What I would do:
Go to admin.atlassian.com → Billing → Subscriptions
Confirm you are in the correct organization and billing account
Try switching to annual there
If invoice is still blocked, request a quote or contact Atlassian billing support to enable payment terms
If you’re buying through a partner/reseller, invoice handling is often managed through them instead of directly in Atlassian’s checkout.
Have a great and Sunny Day.
