Not sure the correct terminology, but when I put text into a page it will automatically organize itself into what I am calling 'blocks'. Each block has a 'handle', a small icon with six dots that appears to the left of it when it is hovered over. Problem is the automatic organization is wildly off and I can't figure out how to rearrange it so that certain things are grouped together properly.
Blocks of text can be rearranged by this option.
You can move "paragraphs" quickly up or down or to the left or right of another paragraph.
yes but how do I change what exactly gets manipulated by a certain handle. For example, I copy pasted an email into the editor.
My preference would be that the entire email be under 1 handle, but even just one handle per paragraph would be workable.
My general problem is that instead I get handles interspersed seemingly randomly, and my SPECIFIC problem is that I get a handle that groups just the last line of the signature with the next line of the document, which isn't related to the email, and so when I try to place a divider or an expand between the email and the next portion of the document, instead it puts it at the bottom of the 'block' which is under the first line of the next section.
I JUST figured out (30 seconds ago) that I could just put an insane number of blank lines between the 2 to separate them, then place the divider, then backspace the added lines, but
1. this seems like an inefficient work around,
2. that just tells me how to break blocks up, it doesn't tell me how to combine them.
