Stop nav bar from floating?

Is there a setting somewhere to stop the navigation bar at the top of the screen from floating? It takes up a lot of real estate, especially on a laptop and it's totally unnecessary -- scrolling to the top of the page to find navigation tools is pretty easy and standard.

(The left navigation bar and the current page toolbar are blessedly easy to hide. And the button I want to click on the most is "Edit" which requires a scroll back up to show anyways.)

There is not a configuration for this. I took a quick look in JAC but did not immediately find any suggestions. Maybe this is some feedback you could provide Atlassian via the feedback link in your application.
