Hi,

I started trying out Jira and installed it for testing on our local linux server (fedora).

Everything worked fine - but:

The server does not have any window manager - it´s running on console only. I tried to start the configuration wizard from my PC with http://[IP-Adress]:8080 - it does not work. I´m just getting a timeout.

Can I start the wizard remotely? Or can I run a configuration wizard via terminal session?

Many thanks!!

Stefan

Hi!

Have you checked status of the service?

using command like:

ps aux | grep java
netstat -anpt | grep java
netstat -tlp | grep 8080

Because your request does not include detail info.

Cheers,

Hi,

thanks for the hint. The firewall was blocking. Fixed it by adding ports and services with —permanent in Fedora.

Cheers,

Stefan
