Hello,
I am a first time Atlassian admin, after having used Jira and Confluence for many years as a user in another company. I am currently setting up Jira and Confluence for my current company, and I can't seem to add apps on the marketplace (specifically ScriptRunner for Jira | Atlassian Marketplace).
After digging for information, it seems that I do not have site-admin rights for whatever reason. Aside from myself, no one else is the administrator of my Atlassian site. How can I ensure that my account is the site-admin? I've tried to go to mysite.atlassian.net/wiki/admin/permissions/global?tab=internal and the user group site-admin is not there either.
Do you have access to your organization under https://admin.atlassian.com ?
If not, you will need to contact the Org admin and ask to add you as an org admin.
If there is no Org admin, you will need to ask Atlassian support for help.
Regards
Hi @Aaron Pavez _ServiceRocket_ ,
I do have access to admin.atlassian.com. I can pretty much assign all roles to anyone in my org, but for whatever reason site-admin group is not there.

Site admin has been deprecated. It's Org admin now.

What exactly can't you do while being an Org admin?

Hi @Aaron Pavez _ServiceRocket_ ,
thanks for pointing it out. I am definitely assigned as org admin. For whatever reason, I cannot add Scriptrunner and any other apps from the Atlassian marketplace. I keep getting this error whenever I try to add any app:
Previous forum conversations and support pages keep pointing that only site-admin can do this, so this is quite confusing.

Hi!
That error might be due:
1. You already had a free trial of the app.
2. If the trial ended, you deleted the app, you try to install it again, you will get that error.
3. Can you try installing any other app? You mention this happens with all apps? Are you installing directly from the marketplace? or from your instance apps section?
4. Open a ticket with Atlassian. They can check the logs and see why the app cannot be installed.

@Aaron Pavez _ServiceRocket_ seems like I will need to raise a ticket with Atlassian for this. Thanks for the help, now I know that site-admin is no longer a thing.
