Simple Cite Plugin - Cite Summary Macro, link with "1" instead of "↑"

Hi,

I'm using this plugin for reference handling.

When I go to the part of documentation related to the "Cite Summary Macro" I can see that, in the image, to go back to the part of the page that the reference refers to you can click on an upwards arrow "↑", while trying it, all the links are represented by "1". 

To clarify I attach the image of the links in the documentation:

Here is how they are shown in my case:

Is there some specific setting to select for showing the arrows instead of the 1s?

The server version I'm using is 7.9.0.

Please raise a ticket with the vendor's plugin as this seems to be an issue related to it not to Confluence.
