Sensitive Data

Octavian Negrea July 5, 2017

Hi ,

My company has some concerns when is about sensitive data on the cloud version.

1.Is there any option to protect sensitive data in Confluence and Jira (cloud version) ?

2.Is there any option to link the Confluence Cloud to an external repository designed only  for sensitive data  ?

What aproach would be the best ?

Adding to Nic's answer, you might also want to take a look at https://confluence.atlassian.com/cloudkb/cloud-security-question-759859702.html. The various links on that page provides details on data storage and other aspects.

Depends mostly on what you mean by "protect sensitive data".  Is that on the front end, or are we talking about the server/hardware (encrypted at rest, using SSL for clients, etc)?

You won't be able to relocate Cloud data on an external repository, but there's nothing stopping you linking to external data.
