Scalable text in whiteboard

Hi!

So we've started using Whiteboard as a replacement for Mural. One of the many functions I'm missing in Whiteboard, is automatic text scaling.

When using whiteboard there are quite some shapes to use like triangle, rectangle, etc. If you write in those, and make them larger, the text won't adjust to the new size of your shape. There is a very limited amount of options to increase the text, but unlike let's say Word, there is no letter type size. It's all based on presets.

However. If you use the sticky note option and type in that, the text DOES scale with increasing or decreasing the size of the sticky note.

I this something that was never build? Of course it is possible to add a separate text field to a shape that is quite customizable. But I don't understand why a feature like automatic text scaling with the size of your shape is present in the sticky note, but not in all other shapes.

See the image for a reference. In the image the sticky note and the rectangle shape are the same size and the text format is unedited. The difference is size is very noticeable.

Is there a fix for this? Or is this a missing feature?

Hi @Jimmer I would agree with you that this would be an issue.  I took a look on Atlassian's Jira Site and couldn't find any open issues that were related.  It's possible I missed it.

I would suggest writing up your request and we can then start voting for it.  If you want, you can repost the work item's number here and we can add our vote for it as well.

Hope that helps.
