I Installed Confluence server. Wanted to invite members to my server. For that it is asking to setup SMTP server for outgoing mails and POP server for incoming mail. I set up some SMTP server by default values. But the test mail was not connecting. I am getting some error while sending the test mail.
How can I set up the configuration for my server to invite members to my confluence server?
Please help me.
How you set it up is what you've already done probably, but giving it the right connection data to enable it to connect to the SMTP server.
What error do you get when trying the test mail?
SMTP host 192.168.1.15, and port 25 were default set in my system. it was showing connection is not possible to this server. and user name and password are not unauthorized. and a connection time out message also.

That suggests you have not installed or started an SMTP service on that server.
