Run xml backup with ip within an sso environment

Kevin Lynch August 23, 2016

This question is in reference to Atlassian Documentation: Manually Backing Up the Site

I want to run the manual xml backup using the ip address of the server to bypass the timeout (because our instance is so large.) But, we have an sso. How can I bypass the sso and get into the ip addresses login without disabling the sso sign in feature for everyone else?

Kevin,

I don't think if there is a timeout then it is an issue with SSO. You can also try with local admin account but if there is a timeout then it is probably due to some capacity issues of the server. I would recommend looking at the log file to understand the possible causes. Usually increasing JVM memory helps but the exact cause of the timeout needs to be understood.

If that doesn't help then you can raise a support request with Atlassian at https://support.atlassian.com/ and they can analyse the log for you and recommend possible resolution.
