Hello everybody,
Is there any chance to retrieve an old Confluence ?
https://lesterrassesdusoleil.atlassian.net/
Thank you in advance
Pierre
Hi,
yes, I've requested help from the Atlassian team.
Hello @Pierre Hoffmann
When was the last time you accessed the data?
Was your subscription deactivated due to inactivity? Or did you actively cancel the subscription?
If the subscription was deactivated Atlassian hold on to the data for a limited time. If it has been more than 60 days it is highly unlikely that the data is still available. I have also seen the retention period be as short as 15 days.

Hello @Pierre Hoffmann
You should raise that directly with Atlassian. But one thing to keep in mind: keep your expectations low. Especially for Free accounts, Atlassian usually keeps data only for a relatively short time after deactivation.

Thank you,
As a matter of fact, I don't find the way to contact them...

We checked the site mentioned, and it seems it is already deleted.
In general, we don't support recovery or restore data, as per our Can Atlassian’s RDS backups be used to roll back changes?
Can Atlassian’s RDS backups be used to roll back changes?
We cannot use our RDS backups to roll back changes. These include changes such as fields overwritten using scripts, or deleted issues, projects, or sites.
This is because our data isn’t stored in a single central database. Instead, it is stored across many micro services, which makes rolling back changes a risky process.
To avoid data loss, we recommend making regular backups. For how to do this, see our documentation:
Confluence – Create a site backup
Jira apps – Exporting issues
That said, even in the event we are able to make an exception, we would have really limited time to see if we can succeed in this process.
In this case, we can see that the last notification about your site deactivation was back in Oct, 2025, and since it is been a few months ago, we are afraid we cannot help on this one.
If you have a backup taken from the site, you can use it to upload it a new site (the old site is deleted along with the product).
We hope this helps at least in terms of clarification. If you are having any issues with the backup, please let us know.
Regards,
Jessica
