When looking to remove the plugin, SubSpace Navigation for Confluence, we get this ominous message saying "Your subscription will be forteited and all data will be permanently deleted.  This action cannot be undone".

Would would this actually delete?  Isn't just navigation?   Could pages actually be deleted?

Good day @Charles Mack,

Rodrigo here, from the Elevatic team (the one behind the SubSpace Navigation for Confluence app).

To confirm, the app will not remove or delete Confluence content in any capacity. What will be removed is the UI behind the Navigation Menu's generation, effectively removing any self-created menus, structures or customizations created there.

As @Kris Klima _K15t_ mentioned (thanks Kris!), please feel free to create a ticket with us, and we will gladly get in touch for any further questions.

All the best
Rodrigo (part of the Elevatic team)

Sharing this because Communardo recently renamed themselves to Elevatic and it seems that not all assets were rebranded and searching for them might be confusing.

Hello @Charles Mack

Welcome to the Atlassian community.

Disclaimer: I am not a user of the app, nor to I have any prior experience with the app.

It is possible for third part apps to exfiltrate data from your system to their own system in order to support thei functionality they offer. If you cancel your subscription, any data that is stored in the vendors environment would be lost to you.

It is unlikely that they would delete native pages/spaces in your Confluence environment. However, if they provide a macro that is used in your pages then that might be deleted. If their app creates spaces or pages as part of supporting its functionality, those spaces and pages may be deleted.

To get an authoritative answer to this question you will need to contact the app vendor to ask them what, if anything, will be deleted when you cancel the subscription.
