For one confluence page I created, I inserted ~80 "LaTeX Math Inline" sections and ~20 "LaTeX Math Block" sections.
Every time the page is loaded (or after clicking on "Edit page"), it takes ~one minute for all formulae to be rendered. Is there an alternative option? Can I avoid rendering the sections every time (although there are no changes in the LaTeX code)?
Sure, they need to be shown in my browser, but is there e.g. an option to store them as pictures as long as the code in the background is not changed? (Or is there an alternate plugin for using LaTeX that works faster?)
Welcome to the Atlassian Community!
The LaTeX macro is doing a lot of work when it is rendering the formula, there's no way to speed it up from the outside. The only way to speed it up would be to optimise the code for performance, which I suspect the author has already done, or remove functionality.
Yes, you could convert them to images and save the image, but then you wouldn't be able to edit the macro content.
