Redirecting a confluence "Space" to a SharePoint site collection

Hi I want to redirect a confluence "Space" to a SharePoint site collection at the Space Level.   It appears we can do this based on the help article How to redirect Confluence users to a new URL | Confluence | Atlassian Documentation  in the section entitled.  - Redirect on the Space Level we can do this by modifying the variable "TARGET_CONFLUENCE_BASE_URL_HERE" the new SharePoint URL , but it just appears to be too easy. Can I get a confirmation that is what is needed? IF not, what can I do?

@Colin St Rose this isn't exactly what your are looking for. Confluence cloud didn't allow us to create a 301 like plugin I use in WordPress.

We have found a way to make it work at the page level with Redirection by Easy Apps.

Article applies only for Server/DC instances. As I know you can't do the same on Cloud instance
