I have an instance where, after some hours of data entry, either the server hung or communications with the server was lost. During the endit session I used the standard Confluence "Save Draft" facility regularly to protect against loss of entered page data.
The end result = data lost... :-(
Question: Is there a local machine cache where Confluence stores entered page data either at regular intervals or when the "Save Draft" is used... i.e. a location on my local drive where I can at least recover the text entered?
Q
Hi @Hugh Rodrick,
If your Confluence instance is going down too often, it is better to investigate the reason for it. As far as the data is concerned, it is stored in the database.
In the meanwhile, you can set the time interval to as low as you can, 30 seconds is the default one, from this link. If you are using Confluence v6.0 and above, then the collaborative editing is enabled and the data is saved all the time!
Thanks,
