Read custom key value from url and use it on destination page / transfer values over multiple pages

Hello everybody

I would like to open a confluence page with a link passing an additional custom key value to the destination page.

The destination page should read the key and use it for its reporting macros or als variable in text elements on this page.

Example:

1. User clicks on this Link:  https://<DESTPAGE URL>?myval=projectA

2. The destination page is being opened and reads the custom key value myval "projectA"

3.  The text "Key received: projectA" is beeing displayed on the destination page

If there is a better way to send a value form one page to another I' excited to hear about it.
