Hey Everyone,
I want to improve team collaboration using confluence. What are the best tips, Plugins, or strategies to make the most out of it? Any expert insights or resources would be greatly appreciated!
Hello @Abubakar Khan and welcome to the Community.
It depends on what 'better' means to you :)
To me, when it comes to the notion of 'collaboration', a proper workflow app is a must.
From approval process, thru checking for outdated content (if that's your thing), to ensuring documents are created in private...
My favorites are Workflows for Confluence by Appfox and Breeze by B1nary, but there are many more... Appfire (Comala) have 3 apps that cater for this use case...
If you need to keep your sanity, avoid fighting a flood of old documents, and/or need to comply with rules and regulations in a specific industry, those apps are a must.

This is quite a generic question, and as @Kristian Klima mentioned, "better collaboration" could mean a variety of things, such as
All of these imply different strategies, methods, or plugins. So, it might be better to clarify your question a bit more to get tailored help.
All the best,
Adrian

Hi @Abubakar Khan , and welcome to the Community.
I agree with @Kristian Klima too - it really depends on your goals and gaps/pain points you're having right now.
As a best practice, implementing a clear structure and defined processes is essential, especially if your company needs to comply with ISO, FDA, or other regulatory standards.
One of the key elements is implementing workflows, where your documents are always up-to-date, approved by the right people and seen only by the right people. Workflows for Confluence can help set those workflows and meet those needs.

As others have mentioned, it depends on how you use Confluence, but if you're looking for a comprehensive solution, Capable for Confluence is a good place to start.
It's the only all-in-one app that fills the gaps in Confluence’s built-in functionality without adding unnecessary clutter to your interface like other apps - you get essential features like approvals, scheduling, diagrams, formatting, and content management - all in a single, self-contained solution.
Not only does it streamline your workflow, but it also saves you money compared to piecing together multiple alternatives. There's a handy guide on how you can use it to manage your documentation in Confluence,
If you have specific requirements, please share and I can provide a more targeted list of apps that will help you out - from Scroll Viewport for documentation, to ScriptRunner for more advanced automation, there are a lot of awesome apps available, but in general - less is better!
