Hi everyone,

We are planning to enable Public Links in Confluence Cloud. Once enabled site-wide, it seems to turn ON for all spaces automatically, allowing any user with page access to create public links.

Is there a way to:

  • Enable Public Links globally
  • Keep it disabled by default for all spaces
  • Let Space Admins enable it individually for their space if they require it?

We see an option to mark spaces as “Not allowed,” but with 8000+ spaces (and only 25 shown per page), this is not scalable.

Any best practices, bulk options for managing this?

Thank you
Rajat

Hi @Rajat Pratap Singh

When enabling Public Links global, this simply indicates whether it’s possible to make anything public.

This does not allow any user o use them yet.

This has to be enabled on space level, by a space admin to allow this, or this is set to allow on the default space permissions.

See this KB, form more information; set-up-and-manage-public-links
