Project Status Summary

Ben Wells February 28, 2022

Hi All,

I am new to Confluence and hoping to get some help. I am looking at introducing confluence into my team as the primary project management tool. One question I have before talking tot he team is-

Is there a template/ table/way to create a dashboard/ page/ table that can give you overall summary of current project status'

How many projects are currently- in progress, on hold, overdue....

Thanks

Ben

Hi @Ben Wells ,

You may also consider using additional apps to amplify standard Confluence tools.

For example, we can suggest trying our Table Filter and Charts for Confluence add-on.

Its Table Excerpt/Table Excerpt Include macros allow you to collect multiple-row tables (the native Page Properties Report macro collects only one-row tables) and further filter them, aggregate and visualize.

Our macros also support the Jira Issues macro and you'll be able to create live Jira dashboards right in Confluence.

Hi @Ben Wells

Welcome to the Atlassian Community!

To answer your question, yes, there is a way to do that. You can create custom templates that have predefined formatting and macros.

In your use case, I would use the Page Properties macro in the template. In the examples in the documentation, there is a very similar type of use case to yours.

Here is some good documentation as well: https://atlasauthority.com/blog/how-to-use-page-properties-macros-atlassian-confluence/

Thanks @Josh Costella. I will give that a go.
