Problem displaying a Confluence image file in GitHub Markdown file

In a GitHub markdown file, I would like to display an image file stored in the Confluence server 7.13.7. 

In the GitHub markdown file, we use the following line:

<img src="https://A-Web-Address/rest/gliffy/1.0/embeddedDiagrams/SOME-UNIQUE-NAME.png" alt="drawing" width="800"/>  

When I view the markdown file in GitHub, I see a broken image:

Does your GitHub system have authorization to access information on your Confluence system?
