Problem checking off tasks on Confluence Cloud

We are using Confluence Cloud. There seems to be a bug in handling tasks. We often use macros like the Task Report to collect tasks and display them on a page. If we check off an action in the Task Report, sometimes the wrong action is checked off on the page it came from. Our workaround is to always navigate to the source page to check actions off. But it would be much nicer if we could safely check off actions on the Task Report. Has anyone else seen this, and do you have any tips?

(I would have reported this via "Give Feedback" but that's not working either...)

We have definitely run into this before, and have reported it as this bug:

• CONFCLOUD-58465

In the meantime you can continue to check off tasks on the page itself. I encourage you to both vote and watch the bug as well as comment on it.

As for the "Give Feedback" problem, what error do you see? is this in particular browsers? Do you see anything of interest if you have the Developer console open? I have been able to submit feedback through this method so I am curious what the issue might be on your instance.

Many thanks for this! I have voted for and watched the issue (I seem to be the first person who has voted for it though!)

Regarding the "Give Feedback" problem, the problem was that, having typed my feedback text and pressed "Give Feedback", it would just hang and apparently not do anything. This happened on both Safari and Chrome (both up to date AFAIK) on my Mac. Haven't checked the developer console.

Hi Shannon,

I have recorded a HAR file but am a bit reluctant to post a link in a public forum, as it might contain information about the content of our Confluence site (unless you can assure me that it does not!) Is there any way I can send it to you more privately?

When I try to submit the feedback, the dialog hangs with an ever-spinning progress spinner - see the screenshot below. Also, a second dialog opens at the bottom left, which is blank except for an exclamation mark. This goes away after a little while, but the "Give feedback" dialog stays apparently forever.
