PowerPoint Macro does not recognize PPSX extension

I am trying to attach a PPSX (PowerPoint Show) to a confluence page.  The PowerPoint Macro does not seem to recognize this extension so I can't use the macro.

If I just embed the PPSX file in the page, if a user clicks on it, it downloads the file instead of playing the presentation.

Anyone have any suggestions to make this work?  Or I am trying to do something that is not supported.

You can use the Office PowerPoint macro to display the content of a PPSX file in Confluence. To do this, you will need to attach the file to the page from the More actions menu when viewing the page, or use the Files & images tool in the toolbar to upload the file. Then, insert the macro to display the content. Finally, delete the file from the page if you don't want it to show up as an attachment when others view the page.

This does not work.  I tried it a few times.  It doesn't recognize the .PPSX extension as a PowerPoint presentation.
