Looking through the supported db platforms, Postgres12 doesn't show up until Confluence 7.17. (7.13 is here: https://confluence.atlassian.com/conf713/supported-platforms-1077914838.html.)
Are there any known issues using Postgres12 with 7.13.x?
I'm running 7.13 on Postgres10 right now, and am starting to think about moving to Confluence 7.19, but it doesn't support 10 at all and shows 11 as deprecated. Postgres10 is old enough that AWS is dropping support for it, so I have to move and would like to jump to something that will be supported a little longer.
HI @Mike Peck-admin ,
I haven't had issues using newer version of Postgres/Mysql DB with older version of confluence. However, you should always test it on your AWS test environment just to make sure everything is working with your Confluence profile(Confluence data make up and add-on configuration).
I ran into the same issue where I had Postgres 9.6. I ended up upgrading the DB and the confluence at the same time. It's fairly quick to do both in one outage window. I would recommend this since you have a supported combination.

Thanks for the input. I have run Conf7.13.8 on Postgres12 a bit on a test instance, and not observed any issues, but I'm worried that I have just been lucky so far.

Welcome. If it is fully tested, it will work in production.
If there's a significant impact to the organization, then would recommend upgrading Confluence to the latest LTS 7.19.x as well. So, if you have issues, you can get proper support and reduce any risk that wasn't discover in your testing with 7.13.8 and Postgres 12 combination.

I'm on an LTS right now, 7.13.x is that.
My concern is that the phrase "fully tested" isn't something that I can claim, which is a big part of why I asked if anyone is aware of issues.
Anyway, thanks again!
