I found an add-on I want to install for my Confluence project, but it does not show up when I search for "Find new apps". I have the .jar file for it, but also can't find a way to upload it.
This is the app in question:
https://marketplace.atlassian.com/apps/1217628/page-linker-for-confluence?hosting=server&tab=overview
I've found knowledge base pages that describe methods to upload these files from the "Manage Apps" page, but I couldn't find those options.
Is this just not possible with the free cloud-based version of Confluence?
Thanks for your help!
Cloud does not have the framework needed to upload .jar based apps. You will need to find a Cloud equivalent of whatever the app is.
That's unfortunate, though not surprising. Seems like something that could have been more clear in several places on Atlassian's site and support articles. Thanks for the answer, much appreciated!

There are many places Atlassian mention it, but their current push is for getting all their customers on to Cloud or DC, and in my opinion, that is nowhere near as clear as it should be.
I think you're completely right about how it reads - the site and articles, while mentioning it, could be significantly improved by highlighting the potential differences.
