Pages with the same title to have a consistent tree structure

Hi group

I want to have the following structure in my space:

Product 1

• Description
• Installation
• Usage
• Maintenance and troubleshooting

Product 2

• Description
• Installation
• Usage
• Maintenance and troubleshooting

Product 3

• Description
• Installation
• Usage
• Maintenance and troubleshooting

I want every item in the bulleted list to be a separate page, but apparently, Confluence does not allow this. Any ideas when this bug (or design flaw) will be fixed?

The so-called workaround of having all the items in the bulleted list as Heading 1 on a single page is not an option, just a bad idea. ;-)

As the others have said, it's not possible with Confluence out of the box. But if you're interested, my team at K15t offers an app called Scroll Documents that can help with this. 

With the app, you can define a page tree as a single document, so in your case, Product 1 would be its own document, Product 2 another document, etc. and you can manage those pages together. 

You're able to add your own prefix to each document which will enable you to bypass this page title conflict, and since the prefix is managed as its own setting, it's really easy to update it whenever you need to and the update will be applied to all the pages of the document. 

You can also include the same page in multiple documents. So in your case, let's say the 'Installation' guide of your products are all the same, you could simply include that page in multiple documents and manage that content much more easily. Here's a short video in our help center that explains how this and the prefixing works. 

Some of the other things you can do with the app include versioning, activity tracking, side-by-side comparison of versions, and more.

Hi @Yves_Barbion ,

This is not possible to have pages with similar topics in a space.

You can add some of product characteristics at the end of topics to distinguish them. (e.g. Product 1 -> Description 1)

Otherwise create separate spaces for each product.
