Pages with inherited view restrictions appear in search results. How can this be prevented?

Herold Peijs July 29, 2020

https://confluence.atlassian.com/doc/search-139528.html clearly states that restricted pages are excluded from search results. This does not seem to apply for pages with inherited view restrictions. Does this work-as-designed?

To elaborate a bit on the above....

The exact use case is the following:

- We have a space (A) which is restricted to a certain user group (B).

- Person (C) is part of that user group.

- Page (D) in that space has view restrictions

- Person (C) does not have the right to view the page (D)

- Person (C) is not able to view the content of that page (D)

- Person (C) does see the page in the search results

Expected outcome

The expected outcome is that the page (D) would not show up in the search results when person (C) performs a search.

Current outcome

Person (C) does see the page in the search results
