I create many topics that use images in-line with an ordered list such that the list numbering is interrupted by the image and the list numbering resets to 1 after every image--is there an easy way/GUI-based way to continue the numbering? Currently, I must go into the source and manually edit the list structure, which is difficult and very time consuming.
Hi Nick, you didn't specify whether you are using Server or Cloud. On Confluence Cloud, based on my testing today, it's keeping the numbers after you add an image.
I did see a couple of issues that were fixed with Confluence Server, and I'm not sure what version you're on.
CONFSERVER-27868 CONFSERVER-14478
I would say if you're on Server and on the latest software it would be worth opening a ticket with support.atlassian.com and see what they say.
If you're using the cloud, it may help to get some more specific steps, as I can't replicate it. But you could always as support as well too.
Hope that helps.
Thanks for the response, Dan. I don't know how to tell whether I'm using the Server or Cloud, however, I found the solution in another thread: establish the numbered list items, and then use Shift Return to create a soft return between each list item where an interruption (image or paragraph) is needed.
