When I use the Page Tree Search macro I want the search results to open in a new tab. Is there a way to enable that?
Yes, I know not everyone wants that behavior. While researching this question I've read plenty of comments in this community to understand that a lot of people want to stay on the same tab. I respect that.
For me the page with with the search box is more-or-less a home page for my job. There are a lot of great links already on that page. I want to branch out from there while being able to get back to that tab with a single click. It would be very useful to have search results open in a new tab.
Thanks.
Hey @Mark Perew ,
Are you referring to Live Search macro or to something else?
If so, I've tried multiple different ways, but it will always open content in the current tab (as you've noticed).
I've also checked JAC, but couldn't find any open suggestions related to this.
What you could do here is to reach out to Atlassian Support and discuss this with them (explain the requirement), and their team can probably raise a new feature request about this.
Cheers,
Tobi
As stated in the original post. I'm using Page Tree Search.
