Not allowed to change these restrictions

Hi, I'd like to post something which needs to be shared with only a specific group of people. However when I click on the lock image to change the "restrictions" settings, it says I am not allowed to change these restrictions. Pls see the image attached and advise how to fix it, thanks.

I think you need to look at the space permissions - it looks like you do not have the "restrict pages" permission in there.

I'm looking at the page https://confluence.atlassian.com/doc/space-permissions-overview-139521.html which says.... "To change permissions for a space, choose Space tools > Permissions from the bottom of the sidebar, then choose Edit Permissions to change permission settings"

But from the Space tools, I don't even see the Permissions menu. I only have Overview, Content Tools and Reorder Pages. 

Pls can you advise? Thanks.

Ok, that means you are not a space administrators, so you can't see or grant permissions. You will need to talk to an admin about this.

thanks very much for the quick replies! Now the only issue is that I don't know who my admin is - can you let me know how to identify them? Thanks.

Some people use the "contact admins" function that is in Confluence, but if your people have not done that, then I can't tell you who they might be.

Ask other people using your Conflluence, the person who asked you to use it, have a look around the space for names and contact details of anyone (anyone else using your space might know who the admins are)
