Issue:
Reverse proxy and ssl not working on Confluence. Similar setup works in Jira. I noticed the connectors protocol was different, but cannot figure out why the reverse proxy/ssl will not allow a connection or even a resposne unless i get to it directly with the port or the public ip+port.
AWS:
EC2 VPC with DNS configs checked
Security groups on instance allowed to be access only by VPN ip on ports:
- 8090
- 443
- 80
Confluence Setup:
/opt/atlassian/confluence/conf/server.xml
/opt/atlassian/confluence/conf/Standalone/localhost/synchrony-proxy.xml
Confluence nginx.conf:
/etc/sites-available/default.conf -> /etc/sites-enabled/default.conf
Logs:
so solved this with apache ... i will circle back to post nginx configs once i set them up properly.
I will also post my apache2.x configs and setups along with connectors....
