Hello,

We already have a Confluence installation, but we need to migrate to a new server and upgrade to the latest version.

So i started by installing the latest version of Confluence v6.12.0 to our new server from the linux binary file but after the installation wizard, specifically when you enter the database info it seems to never come up again.

The plan was to install it as a fresh installation and the restore from the backup archive i took from the old installation.

Environment:

* PostgreSQL 9.6

* Ubuntu 16.04 with AppArmor disabled

* Nginx as reverse proxy for Bitbucket, Jira and Confluence. (Jira and Bitbucket work ok)

* server.xml was changed to reflect the reverse proxy settings (scheme, proxyName, proxyPort)

* Installed as root

* Checked folder permissions

I checked the database and it seems to create the tables for Confluence, so i guess no issues with the database.

I followed all the steps on this article: https://confluence.atlassian.com/confkb/confluence-does-not-start-due-to-spring-application-context-has-not-been-set-218278311.html

but didn't not fix my problem. I still get the error "Spring Application context has not been set"

The only thing i did not find from the article is "confluence-init.properties" inside the <install>/confluence/WEB-INF/classes/ which suppose to hold the path to the home folder but i guess that it just uses the default location?
