Given I select an issue in my backlog and drag it to a different order in the backlog, when I drop the issue, then the issue is placed in its ORIGINAL position instead of the NEW position I indicated.

On my instance this works ok. Can you give it a go now and let me know if the issue is fixed. If it was a bug, more likely it is now fixed.
