I wrote an html-code which prompts the user for an input. But when I press "upload" all my code just disappears. I have tried emptying my cache and using different browsers to solve the problem but to no avail.

You can't directly add html to Confluence. Confluence will strip the html. The reason is that allowing html would be a security issue.
However there are some html addons available in the marketplace. These work in a different security context than the main Confluence page.
