Hi,

I'm currently working in the Confluence instance with for example ABC.atlassian.net , but the 'premium' version is about to expire. Apparently we already have a premium instance with the link (for example): XYZ.atlassian.net.

How can I transfer the contents of my first Confluence instance to this premium one, without having to copy all the texts one by one?

Cheers,

Bart

Hi @Bart Colen ,

You won’t need to manually copy everything one by one — there are a couple of options to move content between Confluence Cloud instances:

Option 1: Export and Import a Space
If you're trying to move an entire space:

  1. In the old instance (ABC.atlassian.net), go to Space Settings → Content Tools → Export.
  2. Choose the XML export format and download the file.
  3. In the new instance (XYZ.atlassian.net), as a Confluence admin, go to General Configuration → Import Spaces, and upload the exported XML.

Note: This only works if both instances are on Confluence Cloud and you're using the same type of license (e.g., Standard or Premium).

Option 2: Use Atlassian Cloud Migration Assistant
If you're moving several spaces or users, Atlassian provides a free tool:
