Hey guys,

So lately I have been working with atlassian products JIRA and Confluence, and I really want to set the following up so I can get this automated and something I don't have to manually do.

  • Confluence article has JIRA ticket linked to it.
  • JIRA ticket is set to "finished" or "closed"
  • Confluence article then moves itself to an archive folder.

Now I have a feeling this isn't possible, but if anyone has any ideas on how something like this would be set up that would be great.

Best Regards

Hey Elliott,

my approach would be to use a post function in JIRA, an add-on to call the Confluence REST API there (e. g. https://marketplace.atlassian.com/plugins/com.keplerrominfo.jira.plugins.jjupin/server/overview if you are using JIRA server - a very powerful scripting add-on) and the Confluence REST API, e.g. https://docs.atlassian.com/atlassian-confluence/REST/latest-server/#content-update for Confluence Server. Hope that helps?

Cheers

Christoph
