Hello
We have a working JIRA server with jira, bitbucket and Confluence. We move this server SQL DB to SQL Server Management studio v18.10 (SSMS). I can log into JIRA and bitbucket however I can not log into Confluence. When logging into Confluence I get the error "Sorry an error occurred trying to log you in. Please try again.
I have asked other users to log in. They get the same exact error.
Any help would be greatly apricated. I have been working on this for weeks.
@Laurence Welcome to the Atlassian Community
Sounds like you are no longer able to connect to the user directory. Does your Confluence instance connect to Jira or another user directory for access?
I would suggest following these directions to log in to Confluence. https://confluence.atlassian.com/doc/restore-passwords-to-recover-admin-user-rights-158390.html
Once you log in to Confluence go to the user directory and make sure it is connecting and functioning correctly. Here you will be able to test logins and troubleshoot what is happeing. You should also take a look at the Confluence logs for additional insights.
I can log into bitbucket and JIRA all with no issue.
I apologize in advance but what is "Add the following system property, replacing <your-password>
with a unique, temporary password. "
What am I adding this to?

@Laurence the application has system properties that are used when the application starts. To do a recovery you just need to add the property listed in the instructions with a password that you would like to use.
Here is some additional information about system properties https://confluence.atlassian.com/doc/configuring-system-properties-168002854.html
