Hello,
We have developed a Confluence server application and currently we build a Confluence cloud application. We want to evaluate a migration topic and prepare the cloud application to make it possible to migrate macros from server to cloud.
As far as I understand, the macro to be migrated should have the same identifier ("key" property of "dynamicContentMacros" in application descriptor - in cloud app and "ac:name" - in server app) and the same identifiers of parameters.
Unfortunately I have not found any detailed documentation for developers in this matter. Is there such a documentation somewhere?
We would like also to test the migration somehow before we go with cloud app to the Marketplace. Is it even possible?
Thanks in advance for every answer!
Hi @Bartlomiej and welcome to the community,
If not mistaken, Atlassian provides support (https://developer.atlassian.com/platform/app-migration/) for marketplace partners about migrating platform.
You can request a dev environment (http://go.atlassian.com/cloud-dev) to which you can develop you cloud app, as well as all the documentation which can be found here: https://developer.atlassian.com/ and here https://developer.atlassian.com/platform/marketplace/getting-started/
You can view your cloud apps here https://developer.atlassian.com/console/myapps/, and if you are using forge you can either have them deployed in the development environment or pushed to production. Keep in mind that Forge in a few months will become a paid software.
