Hi, my team and I are trying to move confluence from one instance of data center to another, but we just can’t figure it out.
We wanted to use the xml backup option, but the backup never manages to complete.
We wanted to migrate through copying the home directory, but are facing difficulties understanding what to do.
We have a container running confluence 6.15.10, and the confluence home directory is on an NFS.
Any help is appreciated
Hi @X odus ,
if you need to merge two instances (add spaces from source to target instance), you need to perform a ful backup in the source instance and import each single space to target instance (https://confluence.atlassian.com/doc/restoring-a-space-152036.html).
If you need to move the whole instance from one environment to another you need to adopt the following approach (https://confluence.atlassian.com/doc/migrating-confluence-between-servers-184150.html).
Hope this helps,
Fabio
