Migrate spaces from very old server (2.7) to cloud.

I have an old server instance running confluence 2.7 which should've died a long time ago.

I can do XML exports, but when I try to import them into cloud I get: 
"Your space export cannot be imported with this version of Confluence Cloud."
Which is understandable enough.

Is a workaround possible, and if so, how?

You need to upgrade your 2.7 instance to a modern version, export the spaces and you'll be able to import those in to Cloud.
