I want to link a file folder on my local disk to use as a link for confluence to access within a section of a page.

Like this:

  • Confluence Page
    • Local Folder
      • Subfolder
        • file
        • file

Is there a macro that will allow me to do this?

@Christopher N_ Chastain It sounds like you want to insert a smart link to a folder on a page—if this is what you want to do, I don't think you can. You can insert a smart link to a file within a folder (I believe), but not to the folder itself.

Even then, if this is in a local drive, you run the risk that other readers of your Confluence page will not have permissions to access the content.

To learn more and, hopefully, find a solution that may work for you, you can start with these pages and then move on to the pages they link to:

Hi @Christopher N_ Chastain

Intrigued, I looked at the Marketplace... you may explore File Manger & Explorer.

Hi @Christopher N_ Chastain

Welcome to the community.

No you can't link local laptop file sources.

You can link to server locations, based on https://support.atlassian.com/confluence/kb/cannot-link-to-local-files-from-within-confluence/
