List of users in Confluence project (REST API)

In my Confluence project, I'd like to get a list of the users, each then with a listing of assigned roles. What is the REST call(s)?

Which Confluence version are you using? This would determine which REST calls are available.

Also, what do you mean by assigned roles? Would that be the groups that a user is assigned to?
