We have SSO setup between our company and Atlassian. The first link I click on to open a Jira ticket in the day brings me to a login screen. When I click on the SSO button I'm automatically logged in. But, rather than loading the jira ticket I was trying to review when I clicked the link, I'm dropped onto the homepage. Is there a fix so that when I click on a URL for a jira ticket that my login still allows the ticket to open rather than me having to login and then reclick the URL to open the ticket?
Hi @Allen Gatlin ,
This will depend on how your company setup the SSO. There's an idle session timer and since you mention it's daily...likely it is set to 24 hours or less. This is added security to not leave idle sessions open. The admin can set it to longer but that would need to comply to your company security requirements.
For the reason why it would go to your homepage is because that's how the SSO behaves. Once authenticated, your identity provider send you back to your login homepage. To go back to what you work on recently, you can go your work tab and check on recent.
Hope this information helps.
