It used to show up but few months back I started seeing this issue 'Data cannot be retrieved' for any JIRA links.
Hi @Teja_ Surya ,
To add to what German said, are other users experiencing the same thing? Also, are you using the legacy macro here, or the new Jira work items one? I've seen this break once or twice, but it was mainly after migration from one platform to another.
Can you maybe check with your Confluence admin or IT department for them to try to troubleshoot this? Confluence admin should also be able to reach out to the official Atlassian Support team in case they need additional assistance. 💁♂️
Cheers,
Tobi
Hi @Teja_ Surya , that error on Jira smart links is almost always a broken authorization between your account and Jira; the token went stale, which is why it started hitting every Jira link a few months back. Reconnect it: on one of those links open the "..." menu and use Unlink, then Connect, to re-authorize your Jira account, and if the preview still fails, allow third-party cookies in the browser, since smart links render in an iframe. Atlassian's note on this exact error is here.

Thanks for the quick response. I don't see any '...' menu or unlink option. I've allowed third-party cookies for the browser, but the preview still fails.
