Hi,

we want to use Confluence with a team of about 5 people, but we want the content to be universally available to the whole company. We want to ensure that the content is only available internally to our company, but we don't really care who internally reads the content. The company has hundreds of employees, but in practice only a few(30-40) of those would have need to access information in Confluence.

We don't have any need for collaboration or similar outside the 5 people editing Confluence.

Is there any License model optimised for this type of case, or do we need to license every user in the company with a Confluence + Access license(we can't manage individual user/pass for the whole company)? Is there a universal read license on a site level?

best regards

Tor

You need to give each user a licence if you need to control who can see it.  Confluence's access model is a flat "I know who this person is" or not.

Your question does not rule out anonymous access though.  If you have pages or spaces that you could let the world see, you can let us see them, and continue to not show others without logging in.
