Legacy editor: managing previous revisions

Niina Sande

It seems that the previous versions don't have the original approval data available but it is replaced with the approval data of the most recent revision. Also, it is not possible to export pdf of these old versions. This is an issue for quality system documents. I cannot provide screenshot due to confidentiality. Is there any resolution available? Is there any possibility to revert pdf of old version any longer?

@Niina Sande

As you mentioned 'exporting older versions to a PDF', did you use Scroll PDF exporter and/or Scroll Documents (Scroll Versions) for that along with an approval app?

Hi @Niina Sande ,

I can confirm that older Confluence page versions cannot be exported as PDF, and some metadata (including approval-state data from apps like Comala) does not remain intact when viewing historical versions. This is not a bug but it is a current product limitation in Confluence Cloud.

Are you using an external app like Comala Document Management? If so, approval is not stored for a specific page version.

Are uyou on Data center or cloud version?

Hello @Niina Sande

Being in your place, I would definitely raise this Concern to Atlassian Support that they look deeper into that.
