The left side bar is missing on confluence pages for me in Chrome but it is there in Edge and in Jira.  The top bar is there but spaces does not have a drop down.  The Space Tools button and the collapse arrows are gone as well.

My coworkers confirmed it is still there for them but I didn't think to ask what browser they are using.

Chrome version is: Version 101.0.4951.54 (Official Build) (64-bit)

In the chrome log there is an error:

Uncaught SyntaxError: Unexpected end of input batch.js:1517

The same spot in the Edge log has the following alert:

Properties of "AJS.Confluence.QuickEdit" were over written

namespace @ batch.js?locale=en-US:509

Hi @Adam Wuertz ,

Welcome to Atlassian community.

Yes, I have seen such issue's and looks like some plugin is causing such issue. You will have to enter safe mode and check once to confirm. Follow the steps from the below article.

Hope the above info helps. Have a good day!

Thanks,

Srinath T

I saw that article when I was trying to find a solution but couldn't follow the steps because I am not an admin on Confluence.  However, at your suggestion I revisited it and googled how to disable all extensions. Sure enough that fixed it.

Strangely, I disabled the Teleparty extension and refreshed the page and the side bar came back. Then I enabled the extension and again and everything is still working.  No idea why disabling it and reenabling it fixed the issue but it did.  Thanks for your help!

@Adam Wuertz ,

Glad to hear that it is working fine now. Yes, these plugin's cause the Chrome's stack size limit to be exceeded when loading the page and create such issue's.

Thanks,

Srinath T
