I'm having the same issue in Confluence but not in Jira. It started a couple of months ago. It also ruins all functions of tables anywhere on the page after I try it reference users with '@username' until I close the page and open it up again.
This is what the table looks like before I try referencing a user
And here is what it looks like after. Notice, the cursor by the @ symbol but no user names pop up.
Hi @Daniel Bartholomeusz and welcome,
I don't see any issue with mention on Confluence Cloud right now.
Which browser are you using? Are u sure to be on a cloud instance?
Fabio

Thank you @Fabio Racobaldo _Herzum_ for your help. Your recommended solution to to clear cache & cookies from your web browser worked!
