Is there any formal documentation regarding Integrating and custom set up of Jira server with Confluence Cloud?

I have activated the JIRA and Confluence link in the Application Link area, but am still not able to find where in confluence I can set up the custom fields on confluence to create JIRA tasks.

Also is there a way to authenticate all users in our confluence login to be able to see the JIRA tickets?

We are running JIRA server and Confluence Cloud.

Thanks Rob

But with regards to creating the Jiras, the pop up that opens to create the JIRA does not allow you to add custom fields, how do I add this?

Hi Jolene,

I see what you mean.  Neither of those options has customisation options to allow you to choose what fields can be filled in from Confluence.  The aim is to allow you to add an issue to the backlog quickly and easily, and then go straight to that issue in JIRA to add in details if you want to.

HI Jolene,

You can create a JIRA ticket inside Confluence by selecting some text and clicking the Create JIRA Issue icon - see here for instructions.  You can also create JIRA tickets using the JIRA Issues macro.

As for authentication, you need to add all of the users who need to access JIRA to a group, and give that group permission to access JIRA.  See here to learn about managing groups.
